Other outcomes

Participants from both sessions will get access to:

  • Training session slides and recordings 
  • Templates for media pitches, letters to the editor, key message development, interview preparation and more
  • Connections to media contacts including journalists and producers
  • Connections to other young change-makers using media for advocacy
  • Established and ongoing relationship with FYA’s Youth Media Centre

 

How to get involved

Who can apply?

Young people between the ages of 16-25 from across Australia. There are 50 places available for each training stream. We will reserve 10% of places for young people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and seek representation from each State and Territory.

Cost
These training sessions are currently offered at no cost, and are designed for grassroots, youth-led activists with lived experience of injustice. You will need access to a computer or phone, internet connection and ability to access Zoom to participate.
